We only create products made with ingredients we are comfortable using on ourselves and our families. This approach ensures they are suitable for sensitive skin and eliminates the need for animal testing.
We partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant one new tree for every hairbrush sold in the US. This year 2021, we are helping reforest the Econfina Creek and Chipola River Watersheds in Florida. To learn more about this project click here
Our body and skin care products are always Vegan friendly. We add ethically sourced honey to just a handful of products for its fantastic emollient properties. To identify products containing honey, look for the beehive icon in the product description tab.
The unvarnished wood, natural rubber and natural bristles in Acca Kappa's hairbrushes are biodegradable. Our new "BIO" collection made of Bioacetate, a polymer derived from vegetable cellulose is 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.
The shipping of all orders and products is now also carbon neutral.
Shipping materials are reused and recycled. Cardboard boxes are donated locally. Old hairbrush handles are reclaimed and repurposed. Plastic product packaging is collected and recycled. To join our efforts please email mayte@accakappa.us
Acca Kappa was founded in 1869 by Herman Krull. Today, Elisa Gera, the great-great-granddaughter of Mr. Krull is our CEO. And a true family atmosphere can be felt while strolling the factory floors and greeting our multigenerational craftsmen and staff members.
From sanding a block of wood into the right shape to adding the rubber pad and bristles, carefully inspecting each finished piece and packaging, much of Acca Kappa's production process is still done by real human hands with real love and passion for their work.
At Acca Kappa, we support local and international organizations that help improve the lives of men, women, children, and animals. To obtain additional information regarding our charitable efforts, please email us at info@accakappa.us
